Techniques of Hypnosis -

This is the oldest form of Hypnosis, known as Hypnotism.. basically performed on stage for entertainment. It is more for fun and not for emotional benefits. The expert sometimes takes liberty and make the subject do some funny things..!

In this technique, the expert use metaphors  to keep the conscious mind confussed. As the conscious mind tries to make out the metaphor, the message reaches to the subconscious. The subconscious mind establishes link between the metaphor and the desired behavior.

This technique is used for persons who are highly logical and not able to reach relaxed state of mind easily.

This type of Hypnosis is not generally concerned with pain removal or treating depression or fobia. This is used for general overall emotional welbeing of the subject. The main objective here is to achieve self development rather than some corrective action to repair some psychiatric problems.

Covert Or Conversational Hypnosis

When the client needs the therapy but he is hyper-sensitive about losing self-control, it becomes difficult to impart hypnotherapy. With such clients, a method is used where the therapist does not let the client feel that he is being taken into trance. On the contrary, the therapist keep talking to the client and make him feel that he is proceeding on his own. The client feels that he is changing his mind at his own volition.

However, this is done only when the client whats to take the therapy but unable to get into trance.

This the latest modern form of hypnosis. Here the subject and the expert, both the persons are highly knowledgible with the ideas of quantum physics and the expert has good knowledge about the working of the brain. It focuses on the holistic treatment on the physical, mental and spiritual levels.

During the therapy, once the voids and the core issues of the client are identified, the next step is to embed the empowering suggestions in the subconscious mind.

The suggestion is drafted by the client. Means, its always a skillfully written affirmation about the goal or about the new healthy habit that the client wants to establish. To effectively bring in the desired change in the behaviour, it is essential that the suggestion be repeatedly sent in the subconscious mind for days to follow after the therapy. As it might not be possible to avail the services of the therapist for all such repetitions, it has to be learnt by the client.

When a person gets into hypnotic trance without guiding suggestions from an expert in person, it is called Self Hypnosis.

While the first such session is induced by the therapist, it is recommended that audio recording of the session be shared with the client to be used by him/her for self-hypnosis.
